Good for you! Can’t believe you’re doing it at this time of year; can’t wait to see the finished product!
I don’t know what I was thinking of Libby – this is far more complicated than I imagined it would be! At least I know that you can still find me which is reassuring.
I like the new design, Julie.
Thank you Valorie – hopefully I will have it running smoothly soon and get back to the business of blogging!
Oh I know how frustrating and time consuming a simple change can be…this is looking lovely Julie as is that vase!
Thank you Donna – hopefully it will seem clearer in the morning – I am going to take a break and watch some Christmas cookery on the TV!
Oh I wondered what was happening Julie when a lot of unusual food related ‘Peonies and Posies’ posts appeared in my ‘Bloglovin’ feed this morning š I’m glad to read that it’s a planned event and not gremlins at work. I look forward to seeing the final product when your makeover is complete.
Sorry about all the activity Anna – hopefully everything will be back under control soon!
Good to see you back – if a little incomplete around the edges!
Thank you Jenny – it feels good to be back but I will be relieved when the edges are tidied up!
Beautiful flowers in your vase.
Thank you Jeanette – these are actually from earlier in the year but made a good place holder whilst I get my site sorted out.
Hi Julie did you know that several sample blogs have been published?
Beautiful arrangement.
Thank you Brian – things have gone a little awry haven’t they! Hopefully I will sort things out over the next few days.
Hi Julie, I always loved your header, so it will be fun to see what you do. You always have such magnificent peonies as well.. Is this a new simple style WP experiment? I know a lot of people do move over to WP to give them more flexibility. Good luck whatever you do! Best, Susan
Thank you Susan for saying that you have loved my header! I have moved over to WP.org for a variety of reasons but particularly for flexibility and I hope to have the new site fully operational by January – hopefully you will find lots of things to love in my new site too!
Hi Julie – and I came because I subscribe by email and had an email link to this post, but I haven’t had any food related ones (yet) … š !! I had already checked my comments because I hadn’t noticed a link a post from you although I had been aware of the email… I trust it will be worth it – was there any particular reason why you wanted a change?
Hi Cathy – I am glad you found me in my new home – even though most of the boxes still need to be unpacked! Hopefully I will get things up and running properly over the next week or two – although I am so busy this week that very little progress has been made. I have been considering a change for a while now and decided to take the plunge when I realised that black Friday offers were about to expire – I had not really appreciated how much was involved in a move to WP.org though. My principle reason for a change stems from ownership – it has always worried me that with WP.com you do not actually own your site – we put so much work into this blogging life that I feel better knowing that I have ownership of my material. There is also a greater flexibility in what I can do with the site. That said I am now responsible for backing up my material, protecting my site from spam, running updates etc which I have not had to worry about before – also there are monthly costs involved. My new theme is giving me a few head aches, but I am sure this is just a learning curve and all will be well again soon! Hopefully I will be back to regular blogging and my Monday vases in the near future.
